These figures represent Troglodytes, loathesome bipedal lizard-creatures renowned for emitting a horrible stench when they enter battle! They were supplied in packs of three different poses, with four variants of each pose made. The only differences between variants are on the head shape and facial features.
Pose 1, variant A. This figure is armed with a pair of bamboo-shafted javelins, one held in his right hand overhead ready to throw, and the other held in reserve in his left hand. He wears a set of crossed baldricks and a decorated leather belt with a loincloth. This variant has a fairly long lizard-like head, with a closed mouth with no teeth showing. He has a large, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 1, variant B. This figure has a fairly short head, with a closed mouth with a couple of lower fangs showing. He has a small, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 1, variant C. This variant has a short, stumpy, fish-like head, with a closed mouth with a couple of upper fangs showing. He has a small, 3-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 1, variant D. This variant has a fairly small, flattened head, with a closed mouth with a couple of lower teeth showing. He has a small, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 2, variant A. This figure is unarmed , and he is lunging forward as if attacking with his claws. He wears a beaded necklace and a decorated leather belt with a loincloth. This variant has a long crocodile-like head, with a closed mouth with upper and lower fangs showing. He has a large, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 2, variant B. This variant has a short lizard-like head, with a snarling mouth showing back teeth and font fangs. He has a short, 3-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 2, variant C. This variant has a fairly short fish-like head, with a closed mouth with upper and lower fangs showing at the front. He has a very small, 3-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 2, variant D. This variant has a fairly short fish-like head. He has an undershot lower jaw and a closed mouth with no exposed teeth. He has a small, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 3, variant A. This figure is lunging forwards with a stone axe in his left hand and a flint and bone dagger held in his right hand. He wears a banded leather corset with bone plates hanging from it. This variant has a fairly long dragon-like head, with a snarling mouth exposing back teeth. He has a tall, 5-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 3, variant B. This figure has a very short fish-like head, with a closed mouth with upper fangs protruding. He has a low, 5-spined crest running down the back of his head.
Pose 3, variant C. This variant has a short, fish-like head with an undershot lower jaw. He has a closed mouth with lower fangs exposed. He has a medium-sized, 4-spined crest running down the back of his head.
